This tour departs from the Baileys Harbor Marina and cruises down the coast to the shipwrecks of the Cecelia and Perry Hannah in Jacksonport. Both wrecks are located next to the old commercial pier structure of Jacksonport, which is also visible from the surface.
The boat continues down to the spectacular shoreline and sea caves of Cave Point County Park. Learn about the geological history of Door County and what caused these unique rock formations. After exploring the caves at Cave Point the boat stops by Whitefish Dunes State Park and to the wreck of the Australasia, one of the few steam ships ever built out of wood. On the return trip the boat makes a brief stop by the shipwreck of the Gray Eagle, another newly discovered shipwreck in Door County. Due to the changing conditions of Lake Michigan, this tour is only available for a 9am and 11:30am departure.
Tours depart from the Baileys Harbor Marina (8132 Highway 57, Baileys Harbor, WI 54202) every morning.
We cannot predict the weather conditions and sometimes depending on the wind it can be a wavy and bumpy ride, hence the name “Adventure Rafting”. We DO NOT recommend taking this tour if you are pregnant, are under the age of 3, have mobility issues, or have had back surgery or chronic back or knee problems and pain within the last year. Boarding and disembarking may be difficult and unstable for persons with mobility issues
Make sure to bring a jacket, sunscreen, and a camera with on the tour.
